On-Campus Housing

For the AAPM 2026 Summer School, attendees have the option to stay in a University of Michigan residence hall. On-campus housing keeps you close to meeting spaces and other participants and offers a convenient way to experience life on a college campus during the program.

On-campus housing will be available in West Quad Dormitories, located within walking distance of the Summer School meeting rooms and campus amenities.

What Is Included in Your Room

University residence hall rooms are furnished for student-style living and include the essentials but may feel simpler than a standard hotel room. A typical room includes:

  • Bed with mattress
  • Desk and chair
  • Closet space
  • Basic linens (sheets, pillow & pillowcase)
  • Towels
  • Wi-Fi internet access
  • Shared bathroom facilities on the floor or in the hall

What to Bring for a Residence Hall Stay

Staying in a residence hall is different from staying in a hotel and you may wish to pack a bit more than usual for comfort and convenience. In addition to your standard travel items, consider bringing:

  • Personal toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, and soap
  • Shower shoes or flip flops
  • A robe or cover up for walking to and from shared bathrooms
  • Extra towels or a preferred bath towel set if you do not wish to rely on campus-provided linens
  • Hangers and any small closet or drawer organizers you find helpful
  • A reusable water bottle and travel mug
  • An extension cord or small power strip for charging multiple devices
  • Earplugs or a sleep mask if you are sensitive to noise or light

  • Review your housing confirmation (sent a week before the meeting) to verify check-in and check-out times and any key or access card procedures.
