Located in the heart of downtown Columbus, the Greater Columbus Convention Center is directly connected to the Hyatt Regency Columbus and surrounded by hotels, restaurants, and entertainment within easy walking distance.

Convention center accessibility: The Greater Columbus Convention Center is a fully ADA-compliant facility. Service animals are welcome.

On-site parking

Six parking facilities are available on and adjacent to the convention center grounds. Pre-purchase is strongly recommended. All facilities include ADA-designated spaces.


Flying to Columbus

John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH)

Columbus is served by John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), located approximately 7 miles northeast of the convention center — typically a 10–20 minute drive depending on traffic.

CMH accessibility: John Glenn Columbus International Airport is fully ADA-compliant. Airport Ambassadors are stationed at information centers on baggage claim and ticketing to assist with wayfinding. For assistance, call (614) 207-9845 or contact your airline's accessibility desk. TSA Cares can also be reached 72 hours before travel for security checkpoint assistance.

Getting from the Airport to Downtown

Multiple transportation options are available from CMH to the Greater Columbus Convention Center and surrounding hotels. All options pick up from the Ground Transportation level of the main terminal.

COTA AirConnect

The most affordable option. The Central Ohio Transit Authority's AirConnect service runs a direct route between CMH and downtown Columbus, with stops near the convention center and major hotels along High Street.

Taxi

Taxis are available 24 hours a day at the Ground Transportation Center outside the main terminal. No app or advance booking required.

Rideshare

Uber and Lyft both operate at CMH. Request your ride through the app and proceed to the designated rideshare pickup zone on the Ground Transportation level.

Rental Car

Multiple national rental car companies operate at CMH. The Rental Car Center is a short walk from the main terminal via a covered walkway.

Driving to Columbus

Columbus sits at the intersection of I-70 and I-71, making it one of the most drive-accessible cities in the country. The convention center is within three hours of several major Midwest cities.

From the East (I-70 West)

  1. Take I-70 West to the Fourth Street Exit
  2. Travel north on Fourth Street to Nationwide Blvd
  3. Turn left onto Nationwide Boulevard

Pittsburgh: ~2.5 hrs  |  Philadelphia: ~6 hrs

From the West (I-70 East)

  1. Take I-70 East to the Fourth Street Exit
  2. Head north on Fourth Street to Nationwide Blvd
  3. Turn left onto Nationwide Boulevard

Indianapolis: ~3 hrs  |  St. Louis: ~5 hrs

From the North (I-71 South)

  1. Take I-71 South, then travel west on I-670 (Exit 109-A)
  2. Take Exit 4-B to the Greater Columbus Convention Center

Cleveland: ~2.5 hrs  |  Detroit: ~3.5 hrs

From the South (I-71 North)

  1. Take I-71 North to I-70 East
  2. Travel on I-70 East to the Fourth Street Exit
  3. Head north on Fourth Street to Nationwide Blvd
  4. Turn left onto Nationwide Boulevard

Cincinnati: ~2 hrs  |  Lexington: ~2.5 hrs

From the Airport (CMH)

  1. Take I-670 West from the airport
  2. Take Exit 4-B to the Greater Columbus Convention Center

Approximately 10–20 minutes depending on traffic

Accessible parking: All six GCCC parking facilities include ADA-designated spaces. For the most accessible arrival, the pick-up and drop-off areas near the Hilton Columbus Downtown (Ohio Center Way) and the corner of E. Goodale Street and N. High Street are recommended for those with mobility needs.

AAPM welcomes attendees from around the world. If you require a U.S. entry visa to attend the 2027 Annual Meeting & Exhibition, please begin the application process as early as possible, as processing times vary significantly by country and consulate.

Apply early. U.S. visa processing times vary significantly by country. We strongly recommend beginning your application well in advance of the July 25–28, 2027 meeting dates, and no later than early spring 2027.
