Policy Code of Conduct at Meetings and Social Events

AAPM is committed to providing a safe and productive meeting environment that fosters open dialogue and the exchange of professional and scientific ideas, promotes equal opportunities and treatment for all participants, and is free of harassment and discrimination. AAPM prohibits any form of harassment, sexual or otherwise, as well as other unprofessional behavior at its meetings and social events.

This Code of Conduct outlines AAPM’s expectations for all meeting attendees, speakers, exhibitors, staff, contractors, and guests at AAPM meetings and social events. All participants in attendance are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct to help ensure a pleasant and safe meeting experience. All participants are expected to treat others with respect, professionalism, and consideration and to uphold standards of scientific integrity and professional ethics, as described in the AAPM Code of Ethics.

Policy Photography & Recording Policy

While AAPM encourages sharing meeting activities via social media, we remind attendees that all presentation content, including Poster content, is the property of the author and permission is required to share or reuse photographs or videos of work presented at the meeting, including sharing on social media.

If presenters indicate “no photography” on their presentation materials, taking photographs, videos, screenshots, or captures of the presentation or poster content is not allowed, for any use.

Otherwise, taking photographs or videos is allowed for personal use.

General Guidelines

  • By attending, participants acknowledge that images or recordings of sessions and common areas may include them incidentally.
  • Flash photography and disruptive recording are not permitted during sessions.
  • Respect speaker and organizer notices regarding “no photos” or “no recording” for specific content.
